Sleeping under the stars: here is the Faloria Mountain Spa Resort

Spend a night in total silence, surrounded by the breathtaking landscape of the Dolomites, away from artificial lights, pollution or noise. It is possible and only at Faloria Mountain Spa Resort where sleeping under the stars is a must.

The structure, in collaboration with the Col Gallina Refuge, has created two proposals for a decidedly out of the ordinary weekend, where comfort and relaxation combine with the magic of an extraordinary experience.

The packages include two nights at the Faloria, with Spa entrance and breakfast, and one at high altitude, to be spent as a couple in the evocative Starlight Room mobile room or in a group in tents near an original First World War outpost.

Located on the outskirts of Cortina, the Faloria is the ideal starting point to rejoin the beauty of nature and the surrounding area in every season of the year.
Sleeping under the stars

The exclusive adventure begins just before sunset, when you leave the hotel in your car for the Col Gallina Refuge. From here an off-road vehicle or snowmobile takes guests at an altitude of 2,300 meters to the Starlight Room. Unique of its kind, it looks like a mobile camera, capable of rotating on itself by 360 ° to give an always different view and follow the movement of the stars. Entirely eco-sustainable, it is made with fir wood walls and glass walls, with interiors with attention to the smallest details, from materials and fabrics to traditional furnishings. Guests will find to welcome them a table set with a menu in perfect Ampezzo style: tasting of local meats and cheeses, a soup of your choice (from a selection of 5), dessert and wine.

Alternatively it is possible to dine at the Col Gallina Refuge with a 4-course gourmet menu and wines that combines creativity and tradition, for a food and wine journey through the flavors of the Dolomites. After admiring the sunrise and enjoying a rich breakfast at the Col Gallina Refuge, we return to the hotel.
Night in a tent in the footsteps of the past

For those who love history and adventure, Faloria, in collaboration with the Col Gallina Refuge, offers – for groups of at least 6 people – a night to live “at the front” in an atmosphere of other times, sleeping in tents in the near an original World War I outpost. Starting from the Col Gallina Refuge, accompanied by a mountain guide, you embark on a journey to discover the places of conflict between Italians and Austrians: tunnels dug into the mountains, suspension bridges, via ferratas and shelters overlooking the rocky walls. You then reach the Cima Gallina station (2333 s.l.m.), from which you can admire a 360 ° panorama of the Dolomite peaks.

Here the base camp is set up, setting up the tents where we will spend the night. The dinner, based on cured meats and cheeses and hot soup, is served inside the restored post of the Great War, in the manner of the soldiers, complete with mess tins, while a historical reenactor tells the conflicts fought at high altitude in the surrounding mountains Curtain.
Faloria Mountain Spa Resort

The new Faloria Mountain Spa Resort, a historic Ampezzo hotel, was inaugurated in December 2018: expanded and renovated, the hotel combines modernity and tradition, offering a new model of exclusive mountain accommodation.

The new rooms offer guests a refined and exclusive environment, where the charm of traditional furnishings is combined with the highest international standards of hospitality. The rooms are characterized by spacious and bright rooms, from whose large windows you can enjoy an enchanting view of the Dolomites.

The Faloria Restaurant is housed within a suggestive glazed pavilion with a spectacular view of Mount Croda da Lago on one side and the 1956 Olympic ski jump on the other. In the kitchen, chef Antonio Cennamo offers an unprecedented combination of Mediterranean tradition and local dishes, whose fil rouge is the excellence of raw materials.

The SPA area is a real jewel: over 1000 square meters of surface, where you can enjoy a unique sensory journey: sauna, ice fountain, calidarium, vitality pool, relaxation areas and private treatment rooms. The semi-Olympic swimming pool is unique of its kind in terms of size and structural characteristics: 25m long with three lanes, it has elegant poolside alcoves, intimate and reserved corners from which to enjoy the view of Monte Faloria.
